COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - A murder suspect in a 2023 shooting at Wilson Apartments in Columbus has been arrested.
The Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Unit arrested Jadarious Greene on October 8. He was arrested for the following charges:
- Murder
- Felony possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime
Greene has been wanted since 2023 for the murder of 21-year-old Javon Smith.
Columbus Police responded to the 3400 block of 8th Avenue (Wilson Apartments) on September 21, 2023. They found Smith suffering from a gunshot wound.
Smith could not be resuscitated and was pronounced dead the following day at 12:01 a.m.
The Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Unit made the arrest in partnership with the United States Marshal Services.
