Utah's beloved tradition, the Miners Day Parade, held in downtown Park City this past Monday, Sept. 2, 2024, marked the 126th year of celebrating the town's rich mining industry legacy. The event, a unique take on the Labor Day celebration, honored the hard work and dedication of the local miners throughout history.

The day kicked off with a delightful free breakfast hosted by St. Mary's Catholic Church, setting the tone for a day filled with camaraderie and festive spirit. Participants then geared up for the Bark City 5K run, followed by the thrilling Park City Rotary Club's Running of the Balls on Main Street, culminating in the much-anticipated Miners Day Parade.

A highlight of the festivities was the Running of the Balls, where thousands of golf balls cascaded down three city blocks from a towering 15-foot structure. The race for the first balls to reach the finish line brought forth excitement and anticipation, with winners taking home coveted prizes such as ski passes, hotel stays, and gift cards. The event, organized by the Rotary Club, saw enthusiastic participation from the community, with all proceeds directed towards supporting local nonprofits.
