members Meg and Tara for a partnered event at the Holderness Free Library on Saturday, Sept. 21, starting at 10 a.m. Attendees will have the unique opportunity to unleash their creativity by decorating their own hiking sticks using natural materials found in the Squam watershed. This hands-on activity allows participants to connect with nature in a meaningful way while creating a personalized souvenir to take home.


Nature-Inspired Hiking Stick Decoration

Participants are encouraged to wear clothing they don’t mind getting dirty and closed-toed shoes suitable for a short guided walk around the nature trail. The corps members will provide all the necessary materials for the activity, ensuring a hassle-free and enjoyable experience for everyone involved.


Guided Nature Walk and Storytelling

After the creative session, corps members will lead a short guided walk on the nature trail, providing insights into the local flora and fauna. The event will culminate with a storytelling session, where participants can relax and immerse themselves in tales inspired by nature.
