I've traversed the Blue Ridge Parkway numerous times during my time in Asheville, taking in the breathtaking views of fall foliage and blooming spring flowers while exploring the winding trails. However, the true essence of this national park eluded me until a recent conversation with my brother sparked my curiosity.
