Tri-Township Fire & Rescue Seeks Civilian EMS Personnel to Enhance Services

Tri-Township Fire & Rescue, located in Clark County, is actively seeking civilian EMS personnel to strengthen their emergency medical services division and enhance their rescue and transport capabilities.
Opportunities Available for Full-time and Part-time Positions

Captain Darius Mousavi has announced that the department is aiming to hire three full-time civilian EMS employees, with additional part-time positions available to support staffing needs as required. While the minimum requirement is advanced EMT training, individuals with basic EMT training are also encouraged to apply, as the department is willing to provide necessary training to obtain advanced EMT certification.
Response to County EMS Needs

In response to the current state of EMS services in the county, particularly with the upcoming closure of New Chapel EMS and the temporary contract of Heartland EMS, Tri-Township Fire & Rescue is committed to expanding its services. The department aims to become the primary EMS provider and fire protection service for Carr, Union, and Silver Creek townships.
Addressing Paramedic Shortage

With a nationwide shortage of paramedics, Tri-Township Fire & Rescue currently employs eight full-time paramedics and operates three ambulances. One ambulance is always staffed with a paramedic and advanced EMT 24/7, with additional staffing based on weather conditions, community events, or call volume.
High Standards for Applicants

Applicants for full-time positions are expected to be trained paramedics or willing to undergo further training and education. Candidates must also pass a standard civilian EMS physical agility test to ensure they are prepared for the demands of emergency situations.
Commitment to Community Service

The department is focused on delivering exceptional service to the community and recognizes the increasing demand for fire-based EMS services in the region. Tri-Township Fire & Rescue is part of a growing trend where civilian EMS workers are included in a separate state pension system, distinct from sworn fire fighters.
