Saudi Arabia's Multi-Billion Dollar Solar-Powered Resort Reaches Major Construction Milestone

Construction on a multi-billion dollar solar-powered resort in Saudi Arabia has recently reached a significant 'milestone,' as announced by Red Sea Global (RSG), a firm owned by the country's Public Investment Fund (PIF). With over $6.13 billion worth of contracts awarded for the Amaala resort along the country's coast, key features of the luxury destination are set to be open by 2025.


Amaala's Progress Update


The 4,200 square kilometer (1622 square mile) resort, entirely powered by solar energy, will save nearly half a million tons of carbon dioxide emissions annually. The Equinox Resort in the Triple Bay Marina Village has topped out, with hotels, condos, and villas nearing completion. Development Highlights
