Philippines' First Motor Racing Museum CTMM Breaks Ground in Clark: A New Destination for Motorsports Enthusiasts

Motor racing enthusiasts in the Philippines have something exciting to look forward to as the groundbreaking ceremony for the Clark Tony's Motorsport Museum (CTMM) took place on July 23. The project, led by Kilton Motor Corp. (KMC) and Bermaz Auto Philippines Inc. (Mazda Philippines), is set to become the country's first motor racing museum, spanning 8,000 square meters over three floors. Located adjacent to the Clark International Speedway on Prince Balagtas Avenue in the northern part of the Freeport, the museum aims to enhance the vibrant motorsports scene in the region.

Promoting Discipline and Safety Among Youth

At the groundbreaking ceremony, Clark Development Corp. (CDC) President and CEO Atty. Agnes VST Devanadera commended the project for its potential to promote discipline and safety among the youth. She mentioned the success of last year's Clark International Festival of Speed (CIFOS) as a testament to the positive impact of such initiatives. Devanadera emphasized the importance of setting new standards in safety and training, which is a key focus of KMC.

A Growing Destination for Motorsports Enthusiasts

The CTMM will showcase various racing vehicles, including racing bikes, motorcycles, Formula cars, racing cars, and go-karts. Additionally, the museum will feature a 1,200-square-meter conference hall for exhibitions, product launches, and private events, equipped with a stage and dressing rooms. Officials from CDC and Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp. were also present at the ceremony, showing their support for the project.

Positioning Clark as the 'Museum Capital of the Philippines'

Johnny Tan, president of KMC, highlighted the potential of the CTMM in positioning Clark as the 'Museum Capital of the Philippines.' He envisions Clark becoming a hub for multiple museums, attracting school tours and boosting tourism in the region. Tan expressed his hopes for increased foot traffic and making Clark a comfortable destination for visitors. The CTMM will complement existing attractions like the Clark Museum and the upcoming National Museum of the Philippines — Clark, solidifying the Freeport as a premier destination for both business and tourism.

With the construction of the Clark Tony's Motorsport Museum, motorsports enthusiasts can anticipate a new and exciting destination that celebrates the thrill and excitement of racing, while also promoting safety and discipline among the youth. The museum's unique collection of vehicles and conference facilities are set to make it a must-visit attraction in Clark, further enhancing its appeal as a hub for motorsports and cultural enthusiasts alike.
