Paducah Police make arrest involving shooting incident

PADUCAH, Ky. (KBSI) – A Paducah man faces several charges after officers conducted an investigation into a shooting incident.

According to the Paducah Police Department on October 6, 2024, Officers of the Paducah Police Department were sent to the 700 block of South 22nd Street in reference to a shooting that had occurred the day before.

The victim told Officers he was riding in a vehicle around South 22nd Street when he was struck by a bullet in his leg. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment for his injury.

After investigation, detectives identified the suspect as Jeremy Kinney age 37 of Paducah, Kentucky.

On October 8, 2024, detectives located Kinney in the area of the 200 block of Ashbrook Avenue entering a vehicle. As detectives attempted to stop
the vehicle, Kinney ran off by foot was caught by officers.

A search warrant was conducted in the 200 block of Ashbrook Avenue where marijuana was found inside the residence.

Kinney faces charges of Assault 1st Degree, Criminal Mischief 1st Degree, Fleeing Or Evading Police 3rd
Degree, and Possession of Marijuana.

Kinney was arrested and taken to the McCracken County Jail.
