Pacific Beachfest Celebrates 25 Years of Fun, Fitness, and Family in Pacific Beach

Few events encapsulate the essence of Pacific Beach quite like Pacific Beachfest, a free event scheduled for Saturday, October 5th, promising a day filled with sports, live music, delicious food and drinks, activities for children, vendors, and much more.
Honoring Community Legends
This year marks the 25th anniversary of Pacific Beachfest, paying tribute to Earl and Birdie Taylor, who played a significant role in shaping the Pacific Beach community. The event will feature larger celebrations, official merchandise, and a lively atmosphere, with activities for all ages.
Exciting Sports Events
The event will host the Volo 4Sum Social Volleyball Tournament and the PB 5K/Half Marathon, providing an opportunity for sports enthusiasts to showcase their skills and participate in friendly competition.
Food and Fun
Attendees can also enjoy the 15th annual 'Best of the Beach' Fish Taco Challenge, where they can sample and vote for their favorite fish tacos from local eateries. A diverse range of culinary delights will be available at the Taste of PB Food Court, while the BeachFest Bar/Beer Garden will offer a selection of beverages from local favorites.
Live Entertainment
Three stages will feature live music throughout the day, with performances by talented local bands and musicians, culminating in a headline performance by Roots Covenant.
Family-Friendly Activities
The Kids Action Area will provide entertainment for younger attendees, including games, arts and crafts, and a rock wall. Local community groups will also offer activities and giveaways for all visitors.
Shop and Explore
Attendees can explore the PB Merchant Sidewalk Sale, shop at the Arts and Craft Village, and enjoy browsing various vendors along the Boardwalk and Garnet. With an expected attendance of up to 50,000 people, this year's Pacific Beachfest promises to be a memorable and enjoyable experience for all.
Event Details
Pacific Beachfest will take place from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. along the Pacific Beach Boardwalk, spanning from Felspar Street to Thomas Avenue. Admission is free, with some activities requiring a fee.
