NYU Can Avoid Jury Trial in Longrunning Retirement Plan Lawsuit

New York University on Wednesday scored a court order establishing that a longrunning class action over the school’s retirement plans won’t be tried by a jury.

The employees who filed suit waived their right to seek a jury trial back in 2017, and the complaint they filed after winning a partial victory on appeal didn’t revive their right to go before a jury, Judge Analisa Torres said.
