Northwest Missouri State University Family Weekend to Feature Fun-filled Activities for Students and Families

MARYVILLE, Mo. — Northwest Missouri State University is gearing up to host its annual Family Weekend from Sept. 27-29, offering a variety of entertainment and athletic activities for families of students. The university aims to provide a welcoming environment for parents, friends, and relatives to experience the new chapter in their loved ones' lives.

Exciting Entertainment and Athletic Events

Northwest's student involvement coordinator, Faith Thompson, emphasized the significance of Family Weekend, stating, "This is a chance for parents, friends, and different family members to come back and see the new life that students have started outside of anything they've ever known before. We want it to be that home away from home for students, faculty, and staff — and for parents to know that their child is taken care of."

Creating Memorable Experiences

The weekend will be filled with a range of activities designed to create lasting memories for families, including campus tours, tailgating events, and live performances. It is an opportunity for families to engage with the campus community and gain insight into their child's college experience.

Building Strong Connections

Family Weekend at Northwest Missouri State University serves as a platform for building strong connections between families and the university. It offers an insight into student life on campus and fosters a sense of belonging for both students and their families.

Join the Celebration

Families are encouraged to participate in the diverse array of activities planned for the weekend and witness the vibrant campus life at Northwest Missouri State University. It is a time to celebrate achievements, create memories, and strengthen bonds within the university community.
