Nando's PERi-PERi Chicken has officially opened its doors at a new development off High Street in Dunwoody, marking its debut in the Atlanta area. CEO John Fisher expressed his enthusiasm, stating, "We are thrilled to finally have a home in the Atlanta area and can't wait to welcome Nando's newcomers and the many loyalists who have long rallied to bring the brand here." Fisher added, "Atlanta has such a great energy and rich culture, so we are honored to become a part of the community." The chain, which originated in Johannesburg, South Africa in 1987, has since expanded to 24 countries, gaining popularity worldwide.
Global Success and Expansion
In 2008, Nando's opened its first restaurant in the United States and currently operates multiple locations in the Washington, D.C.-Maryland-Virginia area, Chicago, and Texas. Known for its signature PERi-PERi marinades made with African Bird's Eye Chili, Nando's offers a range of flavors from mild to very hot, including unique options like mango and lime or lemon and herb.
Unique Flavors and Variety
The new Dunwoody location is situated in High Street, a $2 billion mixed-use development near the Dunwoody MARTA station, providing an ideal setting for the vibrant restaurant. High Street is set to feature 10 city blocks of retail, entertainment, and restaurant space, complemented by walkable areas. Nando's has already set its sights on a second metro Atlanta location at the Forum at Peachtree Corners, expected to open later this fall or in early winter.
