Over the years, it has grown and evolved to become a cornerstone of faith and fellowship for its members.

September – Time Capsule

In honor of this significant milestone, the church has organized a series of events to commemorate its legacy. Throughout the month of September, members of Mt. Zion and the local community will be contributing to a time capsule that will be buried on church grounds. This time capsule is set to be opened in 2049, marking the church's 150th anniversary. It will contain various items such as letters, poems, photographs, and more, showcasing the essence of personal spirituality.

October – Halloween Treat House

As October rolls around, Mt. Zion will host a Halloween Treat House, where church members will dress up in spooky costumes and welcome the community to enjoy a fun-filled evening of candy and camaraderie. This tradition has been a longstanding favorite for both church members and local residents.

November – Thanksgiving Meal

Thanksgiving is a time for gratitude and togetherness, and at Mt. Zion, this sentiment is celebrated with a special Thanksgiving meal. This year, in honor of the 125th anniversary, the church will be incorporating recipes from 1899 to create a nostalgic dining experience for all attendees. A commemorative church service will also be held to mark this historic occasion.

December – Christmas Memorial Tree

To cap off the year, Mt. Zion will be hosting a Christmas Memorial Tree event to remember and honor those who have been an integral part of the church's journey. Personal ornaments will be accepted in memory of past members, making this year's tree a poignant symbol of remembrance and community.
