Local Motive Showcase: KC Brewery Unites Community and Nonprofits

A Kansas City brewery is making waves with its upcoming event to connect the local community with various nonprofits in an engaging and meaningful way.

Celebrating Community Support

Casual Animal Brewing Company is thrilled to announce the launch of its first annual non-profit festival, the Local Motive Showcase, scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 28. This event aims to feature nearly two dozen local non-profits from the Kansas City metro area, highlighting the impactful work they do within the community.

A Festive Experience

Held at the heart of the Crossroads Arts District on 1725 McGee St., the Local Motive Showcase promises a day filled with live music by local artists, a selection of craft beers, family-friendly activities, and mouth-watering dishes from top city establishments.

Empowering the Community

Lara Gray, co-owner of Casual Animal Brewing Company, expressed her excitement for the event, stating, "This festival embodies our dedication to celebrating, empowering, and giving back to our community. It's about more than just financial donations; it's a chance for the community to come together, learn about the impactful work of these organizations, and show their support while enjoying a great time in Kansas City."

Non-Profit Participants

The showcase will feature a diverse range of non-profits such as After the Harvest, Big Brothers Big Sisters Greater KC, Heartland Conservation Alliance, and many more. Each organization will have the opportunity to engage with attendees, share their mission, and provide ways for individuals to get involved.

Exciting Activities and Entertainment

Attendees can look forward to live performances by Kadesh Flow and DJ LeoNighthus, with a special show hosted by Flare tha Rebel. Food options will be plentiful, featuring dishes from The Brick Pan Caliente, Disco Burger, and more. Additionally, there will be interactive activities like a prize wheel, pumpkin decorating, pet trivia, and adoptable dogs on site.

Supporting Local Causes

Since the inception of Casual Animal's Local Motive program in 2018, the brewery has been actively supporting non-profits through their give-back tap program. For every pint sold off the tap, $2 is donated to a designated non-profit, furthering their mission of community support.

Join the Celebration

The Local Motive Showcase is open to all and will run from noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 28, at Casual Animal Brewing Co. on 1725 McGee St. in Kansas City. No tickets are required for this exciting community event.
