Join the Fall Forest Adventure Fun with Ashland SWCD's Not So Spooky Forest Bingo Event

Schools have resumed, temperatures are cooling down, and the harvest season is in full swing, signaling the arrival of fall. Ashland Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) is excited to announce their do-it-yourself fall forest bingo event, aimed at encouraging families to immerse themselves in the beauty of autumn woods.

Exciting Fall Forest Adventure

This October, families and youth are invited to participate in the Not So Spooky Forest bingo event organized by Ashland SWCD. The event is free and can be accessed through online registration at https://Notsospookyforest.eventbrite.com.

Exploration Opportunities

Jane Houin, Ashland SWCD director, expressed, “Fall is the perfect time to explore the woods and appreciate nature's beauty. Although we are currently undergoing facility updates at Hazel Willis Woods, we encourage families to enjoy the fall season by discovering the wonders of a forest.”

DIY Bingo Experience

Participants who register for the do-it-yourself bingo will receive a printable bingo card starting from October 1st. They are encouraged to explore woodlands in their vicinity or visit Ashland SWCD's Hazel Willis Woods. Upon completing the bingo card, they can submit it to the Ashland SWCD office and receive a goodie bag as a reward.

Future Endeavors

Houin anticipates hosting an in-person event at Hazel Willis Woods next fall. The 40-acre woodland serves as an outdoor learning laboratory owned by Ashland SWCD, with ongoing facility improvements focusing on enhancing vehicle access, wildlife habitat, and providing electrification to the facilities.
