Innovative Public Health Vending Machines Launched in Winnebago County

In a groundbreaking initiative, Winnebago County Public Health recently unveiled two state-of-the-art public health vending machines in strategic locations.
Revolutionary Technology Ensures Constant Supply
One of the vending machines is strategically placed outside the David Albrecht Administration building in Oshkosh, while the other is located at the Winnebago County Human Services building in Neenah. These vending machines are stocked with essential items such as Narcan, fentanyl test strips, and basic need kits, all aimed at promoting community safety and well-being. The cutting-edge technology used in these vending machines ensures constant monitoring and restocking for uninterrupted service to those in need. According to Doug Gieryn, Director at Winnebago Health Department, 'The machines are connected to the internet, allowing real-time monitoring of the inventory levels and temperature to ensure optimal performance. Alerts are sent out when items are running low, enabling prompt restocking.'
Convenient Access 24/7
The public health vending machines are accessible round the clock, seven days a week. To access the items, individuals are required to call the public health vending machine hotline at 920-232-3313. Each person can avail up to three essential items as needed. This innovative approach to public health service delivery marks a significant step towards ensuring the well-being of the community in Winnebago County.
