The Blind Center of Nevada, in collaboration with state and local authorities, as well as generous benefactors, inaugurated Visions Park on Thursday, September 19, 2024.
Creating a Supportive Community
The aim of Visions Park, as stated in a press release, is to establish a 100-unit affordable housing complex that fosters a supportive environment for individuals with visual impairments. The organization emphasized the importance of offering a secure and hygienic housing option, along with proximity to the Blind Center’s primary campus to minimize travel time and expenses for members commuting daily for 1-2 hours each way.

The groundbreaking event took place at the site of the future Visions Park, located at 950 Visions Park Lane. Once completed, this innovative housing complex will not only address the accommodation needs of the visually impaired but also set a new benchmark for inclusive residential structures in the Las Vegas area.
