Fulton County Officials Head to India to Attract International Businesses

Fulton County officials, led by Commission Chair Robb Pitts, are gearing up to embark on a mission to India next month.
Building Business Bridges
The delegation, including leaders from South Fulton, College Park, East Point, Union City, and Fairburn, aims to showcase the potential of Fulton County as a prime location for businesses. Pitts emphasized the need to spotlight the opportunities in the southern part of the county, which holds untapped potential for development.
Promoting Growth
The visit will focus on engaging with Indian industry leaders in key cities such as Coimbatore, Tirupur, and Ooty, known for manufacturing, knitwear exports, and spice production respectively.
Partnership for Progress
Facilitated by the Georgia Indo-American Chamber of Commerce (GIACC), the trip underscores the commitment to fostering stronger ties between the U.S. and India. GIACC's efforts have already borne fruit, with several Indian businesses exploring opportunities in Fulton County.
Driving Economic Expansion
With a strategic approach to incentivizing companies and leveraging financial support, the officials are optimistic about attracting investments and boosting sectors like manufacturing, logistics, and technology.
Global Connections
The chamber's initiatives to promote trade and business exchanges will also see a reciprocal visit of Georgia business owners to Coimbatore next year. As Fulton County positions itself on the global map, the delegation's journey to India signifies a promising chapter in the county's economic development efforts.
