The second-annual
Meet Your Best Friend at the Shelter
event is making a comeback at Michigan Humane's Berman Center for Animal Care located at 900 N. Newburgh Road in Westland on Saturday, Sept. 14, running from 10 am to 2 pm.
In collaboration with the Mike Morse Law Firm, over 150 adorable animals will be up for adoption. Besides Michigan Humane, other participating shelters like Lincoln Park Animal Shelter, No Dogs Left Behind, Good Karma Puppy Rescue, and the Michigan Anti-Cruelty Society will also be showcasing a variety of dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens ready to find their forever homes.
Prospective pet parents are required to bring along a valid, state-issued photo I.D. and are advised to keep their current pets at home during the event. Each organization will have their unique set of adoption criteria, with adoption fees differing accordingly.
