Simply go from sitting cross-legged on the ground to standing up without using any parts of your body besides your legs and core muscles. How It Works - Participants start with a score out of 10, with points deducted for using any external support like hands, knees, or forearms. A study from the European Society of Cardiology has shown a correlation between the test results and life expectancy in the 51 to 80 age group. What the Results Mean - Participants scoring 0-3 were found to have a higher risk of dying compared to those scoring 8-10. Those who scored higher were generally older, which could contribute to their risk of death. Take It with Caution - While the test can give an indication of your musculoskeletal fitness and cardiovascular health, it may not consider underlying injuries or disabilities.
