Exciting Debut: ChopnBlok Expands with New Montrose Location and Menu

After an impressive debut at POST Houston, ChopnBlok is set to open its first brick and mortar location in Montrose on Oct. 1, marking a significant milestone for chef Ope Amosu's James Beard award-nominated concept.
New Location, New Flavors

Located at 507 Westheimer Rd. in Houston's Freedmen’s Town, the new restaurant will offer a larger dining space, outdoor patio, and bar, providing fans with an enhanced experience. The expanded menu will showcase a variety of West African inspired dishes, incorporating flavors from Nigeria, Senegal, Ghana, and Cameroon.
Exciting Menu Additions

Expect tantalizing new entrees such as the Buka Blok Pairing, Aunty Mawa’s Maafe, Waakye fried rice, and more. Highlights also include a cocktail program featuring the signature Chopman, alongside a curated wine selection from Black winemakers.
