Supporting Hispanic Business Growth

The U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce plays a vital role in supporting over five million Hispanic-owned businesses in the U.S., contributing over 800 billion to the economy annually.

Empowering Leadership

Juan Velazquez, AVP Banking Center Manager at First Bank branch in Mt.Jackson, co-founded the Hispanic Advisory Committee to address the lack of resources for businesses in the Shenandoah Valley. He aims to inspire other Hispanic leaders and make a positive impact on the community.

Sharing Culture through Business

El Paisano Bakery, located in downtown Harrisonburg, offers traditional Mexican pastries and treats, allowing co-owner Berenice Rodriguez to share her cultural heritage with the community. Rodriguez emphasizes the importance of embracing diversity and encourages aspiring Hispanic and LatinX entrepreneurs.

Community Involvement

The Hispanic Business Council convenes on the third Tuesday of each month at the Chamber Office in Woodstock, VA, fostering collaboration and support for Hispanic-owned businesses.
