At their meeting on September 18, County Commissioners donated $17,000 in community support funding to CAPS to support their general operations.
In addition, county officials are working with CAPS leadership to identify top priorities for fixing issues at their current location. Once numbers are gathered for those issues, CAPS will come before the board of commissioners to ask for one-time funding to support those projects. The county is happy to work with CAPS to address their most pressing issues since funding reductions postponed the county’s ability to construct a new building for them as originally planned for this fiscal year.
