Weather in the Colorado Springs area is expected to be mostly sunny with a high near 58 according to the National Weather Service in Pueblo.
A north-northeast wind around 5 mph will be present, shifting southeast later in the afternoon. A 10 percent chance of thunderstorms will be present after 5 p.m. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
Rain showers, with high elevation snow, will continue over and near the higher terrain through morning, with isolated showers and thunderstorms possible across the higher terrain this afternoon, as an upper-level trough slowly exits the Rockies. Additional snow accumulations of 1 to locally 2 inches will be possible across the higher terrain, generally above 10,000 feet. The main risk from any thunderstorm would be lightning.
