MARION — A fire engulfed a barn at a Marion dairy farm Friday night.

Marion firefighters responded to a two-alarm fire in a structure at Delano Road on Sept. 20, according to the Marion Fire Department.

The involved building was an 8,000-square foot barn at Great Hill Dairy, according to reports.

It is unclear if there were any injuries in the fire. The cause of the fire and the extent of damages to the structure at Great Hill Dairy is also unclear.

Photographs shared by the Marion Fire Department showed the charred interior of the barn, with some of the structure’s windows blown out and a hole burnt into an upper section of the exterior wall.

The Marion Fire Department requested mutual aid from Rochester, Mattapoisett and Wareham.

Marion Fire Chief Brian Jackvony and Great Hill Dairy did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
