Big Jim Farms Expands with U-Pick, Workshops, and Classes at Two New Locations

After making a comeback, Big Jim Farms is taking its offerings to the next level with U-pick options, workshops, and classes available at not one, but two locations.
Exciting Classes and Workshops
Big Jim Farms is set to host a unique 'pick and make your own chips and salsa' class at the esteemed Larry P. Abraham Agri-Nature Center in Los Ranchos de Albuquerque, offering visitors a hands-on culinary experience. Additionally, flower arranging enthusiasts can rejoice as Big Jim Farms is now also providing flower arranging workshops at the same location, catering to those with a green thumb or a creative flair.
Wide Variety of U-Pick Options
Visitors to Big Jim Farms can now indulge in the joy of U-pick experiences, with sunflowers, chile, and pumpkins among the harvest options available. This diverse selection ensures that there is something for everyone to enjoy and take home.
Expanding Horizons for Fall
For the second year running, Big Jim Farms has ventured into new territory, establishing itself at two distinct locations for its fall festivities. Relocating from the Los Poblanos Open Space fields, the farm has now set up shop at 3521 Rio Grande Blvd. NW, slightly south of its previous location and offering approximately five acres of privately-owned land. This expansion opens up exciting possibilities, including more activities, a chance to interact with animals, and hosting events that were not possible at the previous site. With these developments, Big Jim Farms continues to grow and evolve, providing a holistic and enriching experience for visitors seeking a taste of farm life and agricultural education.
