Bemidji Jaycees to Host 80th Annual Water Carnival: What You Need to Know

Back for its 80th year, the Bemidji Jaycees are gearing up to host the Annual Water Carnival from July 3-7, promising five days of summertime fun for the community. Exciting Lineup of Traditional and New Events The Water Carnival will feature a lineup of traditional events such as the Grand Parade, Color Run, and Red, White and Boom Fireworks Show, along with some new additions. Eva Fisher, a board member and event chair, expressed excitement over the milestone, noting how the carnival has evolved over the years to become a community staple. Medallion Hunt and More The Medallion Hunt will kick off on July 1, with clues released daily until the medallion is found. Participants can purchase their Medallion Hunt Buttons at designated locations, with the chance to win a $500 Grand Prize. Merriam's Midway and Armband Specials Merriam's Midway will offer carnival rides, games, and food vendors starting July 3, with armband specials available on select days. Exciting Entertainment and Activities The Entertainment Tent will host live music, games, and more from July 3-6, with a variety of performers lined up for attendees to enjoy. Don't Miss the Kid Events and Color Run The Water Carnival will feature kid-friendly events such as the Kiddie Parade and the Color Run, organized by the Bemidji Junior Jaycees. Interested participants can register online for the Color Run for a colorful and fun experience. Closing with a Bang: Grand Parade and Fireworks The carnival will culminate in the Grand Parade on July 7, followed by the Red, White and Boom fireworks display on July 4.
