26th Annual Milwaukee Holiday Lights Festival to Brighten Downtown This Winter

The 26th annual Milwaukee Holiday Lights Festival is set to illuminate downtown from Thursday, Nov. 21 through Wednesday, Jan. 1, bringing festive cheer to the city.
Winter Wonderland Parks
Milwaukee Downtown, a Business Improvement District #21, will be coordinating the six-week festival, transforming three downtown parks into enchanting winter scenes. 'Community Spirit Park' will be set up at Cathedral Square Park, 'Santa's Celebration Square powered by We Energies' at Zeidler Union Square, and '¡Felices Fiestas! presented by Generac' at Pere Marquette Park.
Dazzling Decorations
In addition to the parks, downtown thoroughfares will be adorned with street decorations, including Wisconsin Avenue, which will feature stunning silver and gold chandeliers suspended above each intersection. The popular 'Ornament Trail' will also make a grand return this year, with nearly 20 hand-painted holiday ornaments displayed along Wisconsin Avenue and Water Street. And let's not forget about Santa's Mailbox at Cathedral Square Park, a favorite spot for kids to drop off their wish lists.
Exciting Kickoff Event
The festivities will kick off with a switch-flipping ceremony on Thursday, Nov. 21 at 6:30 p.m. at Pere Marquette Park. The event will include live music, dance performances, a special visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus, a fireworks display, and pre-show entertainment starting at 5:30 p.m. A brochure detailing all the fun events and shows happening throughout Downtown Milwaukee during the festival will be available soon. Get ready to celebrate the holiday season in style at the Milwaukee Holiday Lights Festival!
