CALDWELL COUNTY, Mo - A Polo man is awaiting trial for allegedly stealing multiple classic vehicles in Caldwell County.
According to a probable cause statement, Caldwell County Sheriff Deputies responded to a report on September 9th of a resident stating that a 1953 blue Chevy panel truck they owned was stolen from their residence near Cowgill and was on sale on Facebook. The sale posting was traced to 42-year-old Corey Carr of Polo.
A meeting was set up between the Carr and the victim for the sale of the truck. When deputies showed up for the sale Carr fled into the woods. A search of the property revealed a 1929 Ford Model T truck, a 1953 Chevy truck, and a 1971 Chevy pickup all belonging to the victim. All of the stolen vehicles were recovered from the property.
Carr is facing three counts of felony stealing a motor vehicle and a misdemeanor of resisting arrest.
