More closures scheduled this week for I-25 and South Academy

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - If you’re a regular traveler on I-25 between Colorado Springs and Fountain, it’ll likely be no surprise that starting Monday night, there will be another round of closures!

Colorado Department of Transportation announced Sunday morning that both sides of the interstate would be closed over the next several days so that crews can install drains and make repairs to the pavement. The closures will be at night and will take place at the following times/locations:

- Temporary full closure of northbound I-25 between South Academy Boulevard and Santa Fe Avenue, Monday, Oct. 21, 8 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. Use Santa Fe to South Academy to get back onto the interstate:

- Temporary full closures of southbound I-25 between Santa Fe Avenue and South Academy Boulevard, Tuesday, Oct. 22, through Thursday, Oct. 24, 8 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. Use South Academy to Santa Fe to get back on the interstate:

There will also be closures on South Academy this week at the following times/locations:

- Overnight right lane closures on northbound South Academy Boulevard between the Bradley Road on-ramp and Milton Proby Parkway on Tuesday, Oct. 22 through Wednesday, Oct. 23, 7 p.m. to 4:30 a.m.

- Temporary full closure of northbound South Academy Boulevard between I-25 and U.S. 85/87 on Friday, Oct. 25 at 7 p.m. to Monday, Oct. 28, at 4:30 a.m. Use detour route.
