Missing pregnant woman may have been kidnapped, police say

AUBURN, Wash. (KING) – Officials in Washington state are searching for a missing pregnant woman who may have been kidnapped.

Colby Crosley with the Auburn Police Department said authorities are trying to find 21-year-old Jacqueline Perez.

Police believe Perez was taken from her home under duress between 6 and 7 p.m. on Oct. 13.

Perez recently moved to Auburn from Guatemala with her husband. Police said she speaks limited English and is six weeks pregnant.

They also said Perez’s husband did not contact them about her disappearance until the morning after she went missing.

Crosley said the husband has not yet ruled him out as a suspect.

“We’re not necessarily saying he is, but we’re also not saying he’s not,” he said.

Perez has brown hair and brown eyes. She stands 5 feet, 4 inches tall and weighs 100 pounds. She also has a scar on her left cheek.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is urged to contact police immediately.

“We’re looking for you and we’re doing everything we can to bring you home safely,” Crosley said.
