Visalia Police Department arrests man for stealing shoes from DD’s Discounts, exposing self in front of 10-year-old
VISALIA – A man has been arrested for theft and for indecently exposing himself in front of a child.
Around 10:20 a.m. on Oct. 14, officers responded to DD’s Discounts on North Dinuba Boulevard to reports of a man stealing a pair of shoes. While searching the area, they received another report about a man fitting the suspect’s description exposing himself in front of a 10-year-old child in the 700 Block of West Prospect.
Officers found the suspect Michael Laue, 43, at Dinuba Boulevard and Sweet Street, where he was wearing the stolen shoes. Laue was positively identified as the suspect of both incidents. Laue was arrested and booked at the Tulare County Adult Pre-Trial Detention Facility on charges of theft, indecent exposure and annoying a child under 18. The stolen shoes were returned to DD’s Discount.
