Larrie Lou Fitzwater, age 81, a resident of Braymer, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday morning, October 30, 2024 in a house fire at his home. He was born the son of Cecil C. and Erna (Horst) Fitzwater on August 13, 1943 in Nelson, Nebraska. He attended Braymer C-4 school and graduated from the 8th grade and pursued his farming career SE of Braymer at that time and never went back to school. He married Gail Miles on July 24, 1964 and to this union 5 children were born. They were married 60 years in July of this year.

Farming was his love and lifelong career and he wore many hats. Dad could do anything he set his mind to. He was one of the toughest, hardest working men you would ever meet. One of his many goals in life was to teach his kids a work ethic, a job well done! Larrie was preceded in death by his parents; one son, John Fitzwater; brothers, Ronnie Fitzwater, Bill Fitzwater and Toby Fitzwater; and one sister, Lettie Weis.

He is survived by his wife, Gail of Braymer, Missouri; son, Matt Fitzwater of Climax Springs, Missouri; two daughters, Kim (Barry) Utt of Cowgill, Missouri, and Cheryl (Sean) Hawkins of Wathena, Kansas; son, Michael (Suzanne) Fitzwater of Knob Noster, Missouri; brother, Don Fitzwater of Bullhead City, Arizona; sister, Betty Fitzwater of Excelsior Springs, Missouri; ten grandchildren, Trent (Jessica) Utt of Excelsior Springs, Missouri, Jesse (Kassie) Utt of Blue Springs, Missouri, Michelle Fitzwater of Augusta, Georgia, Jaren (Amanda) Deeken of Wathena, Kansas, Justin (Teresa) Deeken of Wathena, Kansas, and Christopher, Ronnie, Jackson, Austin and Brayden Fitzwater all of Knob Noster, Missouri; five great grandchildren, Adelyn, Teigen, Mallory, and Kinsley Utt, and Henry Deeken.

Funeral services will be held at the United Methodist Church, Braymer, Missouri, on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. A visitation will

be held at Lindley Pitts Funeral Home, Braymer, Missouri, on Monday, November 11, 2024 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friends may call at Lindley Pitts Funeral Home, Braymer, Missouri, on Monday, November 11, 2024 from 12:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, Braymer, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Evergreen Cemetery, and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
