LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - A 21-year-old Lansing man was killed after he was thrown from his vehicle and subsequently run over by a hit-and-run driver in Shiawassee County Friday night, according to Michigan State Police.

Investigators said it happened between Hintz and Airport Trail after 10 p.m. on M-21.

According to the preliminary investigation, the man was attempting to turn onto westbound M-21 from a parking lot when he was hit on the driver’s side by a Jeep. Police said the man was not wearing his seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle onto M-21.
