Hurricane Milton Shelter Animals Find Refuge in Philadelphia Area Shelters

Evacuated shelter animals from Hurricane Milton in Florida have found a new home in Philadelphia area shelters. The Brandywine Valley SPCA welcomed nearly 100 animals with open arms.

Finding Forever Homes

While the dogs have quickly found loving families to adopt them, many cats are still in need of homes. This effort to clear shelters not only provides a safe haven for these animals but also opens up much-needed space for more animals from the impacted areas.

Adoption Incentives

To help facilitate this process, adoption fees are being waived for large dogs and adult cats. Additionally, the shelters are encouraging fostering or donations to support the care of these animals.

Making a Difference

By opening their doors to these animals, the Philadelphia area shelters are not only providing a second chance at life but also showing the true spirit of compassion and care. It's heartwarming to see communities coming together to help those in need, both two-legged and four-legged alike.
