WENTZVILLE, Mo. (First Alert 4) - A man is in police custody after a hostage situation at a Wentzville motel.
Police were called to the Crossroads Heritage Motel at 404 Luetkenhaus Blvd. around 7:30 a.m. Monday, for a disturbance.
Officers said a mother was staying at the motel with one of her sons, and another son came to visit. During that visit, there was an argument, and one of the sons left. The son that left called the police, stating his brother had a knife.
When police arrived at the motel, the son barricaded himself inside a unit with his mother. The SWAT team entered the room and pulled the mother out. The man was then arrested.
Police told First Alert 4 that no one was injured. They also said they expect charges to be filed later in the day against the man.
