Gadsden man killed in crash on I-59

ST. CLAIR COUNTY, Ala. (WBRC) - A Gadsden man was killed in a two-vehicle crash early in the morning on Nov. 6.

Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) have identified the man as William E. Martin II. He was 47.

He died when the SUV he was driving left the road and hit an unoccupied car before overturning.

Troopers say Martin was not using his seat belt and was ejected. He died at the scene.

The crash happened on Interstate 59 near the 171 mile marker, approximately three miles south of Steele, in St. Clair County.
