TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) - Scott and Tina Skiver are one of many families donating food and cleaning supplies for hurricane relief, but they are taking things a step further.

The family is donating a camper that they purchased back in June of 2024. The family loves to camp, but says they have found a better use for the camper.

“I figured my camper would give someone a nice warm place to stay. I just bought it in June. It’s a want to me but it is a need for them,” Scott Skiver said.

The family is taking donations all month to prepare for the trip down south the week of Thanksgiving.

“We had talked about when to do it, and I said why not Thanksgiving? The time for giving. That is what Thanksgiving is all about and I thank God everybody for giving me this opportunity,” Tina Skiver said.

The couple has started packing the camper and are hoping more community members will join in.

“Material things can be replaced, I promise you that one. Life can’t,” Scott Skiver said.

If you are interested in donating, you can reach out to them on Facebook or with the phone numbers below. The family is hoping to have the camper filled in the next few weeks.
