ELECTION DAY:

It’s a windy & warm Election Day afternoon. Those conditions will continue through early evening. A few showers are sliding northward, mainly east of Nashville. A passing sprinkle or shower is possible in Nashville as well, however. Rain chance, 30%. High, around 80°.

Tonight will stay breezy and mild. Showers and a few thundershowers will move in from the west. This batch of rain will reach the Tennessee River by the evening commute, but will creep eastward, eventually reaching Nashville around midnight.

TOMORROW THROUGH FRIDAY:

Periods of rain are likely on Wednesday. A few rumbles of thunder are expected. It won’t rain all of Wednesday or even close. We’ll just have rain from time to time. The driest area will be southeastern Middle Tennessee. The wettest will be northwestern Middle Tennessee.

A lingering shower or two will affect some of you on Thursday.

Friday looks partly sunny and dry for most.

THIS WEEKEND & BEYOND:

Thick clouds and more rain will return this weekend. Count on wet weather arriving in Nashville late Saturday morning. Saturday afternoon, Saturday night, and Sunday morning look wet at times, too. Drying is likely Sunday afternoon.

Weekend temperatures will start in the high 50s and top off in the low-mid 70s.

Another system will try to bring showers back to the Midstate on Monday.

Tuesday looks dry for most.

Wednesday will be unsettled again with more rain as a sharp cold front pushes through.

Then, colder weather will move in for the end of next week. It’s possible we’ll be talking about frost and freezing weather for the first time in weeks for Friday morning of next week. Stay tuned!
