This will be the fifth Louisiana location for Bojangles, the Charlotte, North Carolina-based chain famous for its chicken and biscuits. The company has a location in Duson, inside a Love’s Travel stop, along with restaurants in Monroe, West Monroe and Ruston.

Bojangles has more than 800 locations across the U.S., with most concentrated in the Carolinas, Georgia, Virginia and Tennessee. The chain has set a goal of growing to 1,000 restaurants and is planning locations in the West Coast and Rocky Mountain regions, according to Nation’s Restaurant News.

Kwik Foods LLC, the local Bojangles franchisee, expects to break ground on a Hammond location early next year. That restaurant is set to open by the end of 2025.
