A little less rain for Sunday

Isolated T-storms later this evening

A little less rain Sunday

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - NE Kansas is looking at a drier day for Sunday, but more rain will fall come this evening.

A few isolated thunderstorms are expected to develop in Central Kansas this evening, possibly reaching severe status. Some of these storms may clip west into our region, specifically around the Concordia region. The environment will not be nearly as favorable for stronger storms in our region, and we’re expected to stay below the severe threshold, but we’ll be watching to see if any storms can maintain their intensity.

Monday will look more like Saturday with consistent rain throughout the day, though there is a severe risk just to our Southeast in parts of SW Missouri. Again, NE Kansas should miss out on the severe development, but it warrants watching due to the proximity to our region.

We’re dry by election day, with highs hovering around 60 through the end of the week. Additional rain is forecast for the end of the week.
