A 15-year-old boy was arrested Tuesday morning after he allegedly smashed in the window of a home and threatened two people with a gun, according to the Lincoln Police Department.

At about 10:45 a.m., officers were sent to the area of Southwest 13th and West Plum streets on reports of a weapons violation, police say.

Officers believe a 15-year-old boy in a red Acura had broken a residence's window, which prompted two people who were inside the home to approach the vehicle. They told police the boy pointed a black handgun at them before leaving the scene.

According to LPD, officers saw the boy in the red Acura near North 15th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue and attempted to make a traffic stop, but he fled. Eventually, he stopped near the North 27th Street exit to Interstate 80, where he was arrested without further incident.
